Welcome to the Computer Lab!
My name is Katie Anderson and I became the long-term substitute teacher in art and computers at St. Mary's at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. I am now the computer teacher.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Hope College in 2012. I am certified to teach K-8th grade with my emphasis in English Language Arts. I taught 7th grade English Language Arts for three years at Eagle Crest Charter Academy in Holland and I taught 5th and 6th grade science at Thousand Pines Outdoor Science School in the San Bernardino Mountains of California. My educational journey began in preschool with the Franciscan nuns in Lowell and continued at Forest Hills Northern in Grand Rapids. From a young age, I wanted to be a teacher and I want to thank my younger self for following that dream. I love working with children and I have had the opportunity to teach in the classroom, coach on the court and the field and work at a summer camp.
I am currently working on my Master's degree in school counseling at Grand Valley State University.
I love travelling, reading and spending time with family and friends!
