I began teaching seventh and eighth grade science and math in the late 1990's. When the middle school moved to a department system I took over the science for grades five through eight. I have my Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University and am certified to teach elementary grades K through 8 and special education grades K through 12. I received my Masters in Science Education from Aquinas and I am certified to teach science K through ninth grade. I also have a master's Degree from the University of Notre Dame in Educational Leadership.
I am a product of Catholic Education grades 1 through 12. After having taught in public schools for 5 years I found myself yearning for the chance to be able share my faith and pray with my students. To paraphrase one of my colleagues at Notre Dame, it is an opportunity to help form the saints of the twenty-first century, our students who wear hoodies and ride skateboards. I enjoy spending time with my children and their families. I also dance, walk, read swim and cheer on Notre Dame. |
