I am a proud product of Catholic education having attended the Muskegon Catholic School system from preschool through 12th grade. From there, I attended and graduated from the University of Michigan, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-5, as well as, Social Studies and Language Arts for grades 6-8. I am also currently in the process of earning my Masters degree from Grand Valley State University. Before having children, I taught in elementary schools in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Seattle, Washington. My husband and I were happy to return to West Michigan to raise our family in 2007.
I fell in love with St. Mary’s school over 6 years ago as a parent, when I enrolled my oldest child in Kindergarten. I could tell immediately that this school was different and it was the right place for our family! I am delighted to have joined the staff to return to my teaching roots in a faith-based community that is so dedicated to academic excellence and service to others. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family, boating, skiing, and traveling.
