St. Mary's students and staff recite The Memorare at the conclusion of each school Mass.
May Crowning is held on a Friday in early May, following the 9:00 AM School Mass.
Second Grade students participate in the Annual May Crowning.
Beginning in the fifth grade, St. Mary's students may train to be altar servers. Training runs from 6-8 hours and is held one time during the school year. Students serve at both Friday Mass and weekend Mass.
Friday School Mass starts at 9:00 AM. We welcome everyone to join us!
St. Mary's students in third through eighth grade prepare each Friday morning liturgy.
Our 5/6 or 7/8 Grade School Choir takes turns leading the music during Friday School Mass.
Stations of the Cross with the students and teachers of St. Mary’s School are on Friday afternoons during Lent.
Advent Vespers are a wonderful way for our middle school students and their families to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
St. Mary's School Cyclone Basketball - Our fifth through eighth grade boys and girls are taught respect and good sportsmanship representing themselves and St. Mary's School. Our sixth through eighth grade students may also participate in sports other than basketball at Spring Lake Schools, Grand Haven Schools, Muskegon Catholic Central and more!
Classroom visits are common for both Fr. Dave and Fr. Chuck.
Food Drives are held three times per year - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Donations are given directly to St. Mary's Food Pantry and used in the various holiday gift baskets.
The final steps toward the Sacrament of Confirmation begin in eighth grade. Retreats, projects, and reflection are part of the curriculum.
Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is an important focus throughout the second grade school year.
Twice each day, St. Mary's students respectfully raise and lower our United States , POW MIA, State of Michigan, St. Mary's School, and Vatican flags.
The Pledge of Allegiance and prayer start each day at St. Mary's School.
Third Grade students mentor a "Preschool Buddy", and our Fourth Grade students mentor a "Kindergarten Buddy" during each School Mass.
