Do you want an easy way to help lower the cost of your St. Mary’s School tuition, Faith Formation or Mission Trip? How about helping make additional payments for the Mary Light of Learning Campaign. You should be using SCRIP! SCRIP is a program where you buy gift certificates to pay for your purchases – food, gas, clothing, back to school supplies, gifts, etc.…
It involves planning ahead about future purchases and buying gift certificates to pay for them. The benefit in return is given to your St. Mary’s School tuition, MLOL campaign, or religious education. Scrip Credits are disbursed four times per year (March 31st, June 30th, September 30th, and December 31st), and would be applied to the balance on your account. For example: Panera Bread offers a 9% kick-back. If you choose to purchase a $25.00 Panera Bread gift card to either use yourself on a future purchase, or you choose to give it as a gift, the total rebate earned is $2.25 on just that purchase alone. The total rebate you earn, is then split 75% to your family account, and 25% goes to run the Scrip program. There are hundreds of vendors to choose from. Each vendor has chosen their own percentages to offer. SCRIP is sold after all Masses at St. Mary’s Parish, or you can purchase at the Parish office during regular business hours. Even if you start out small, just buying Grocery store cards and gas cards, which most of us use every week…these totals add up quickly!
