Two vigils which will be held in the Grand Rapids area over this coming week which will allow us to show our support for, and come together in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters and the congregation of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Presented by: Temple Emanuel, Congregation Ahavas Israel, Jewish Federation of Grand Rapids, and Chabad House of Western Michigan. Monday, November 5 @ 7:15pm @GVSU Allendale Campus at the clocktower Join Rabbi Michael Schadick of Temple Emanuel and the members of Hillel and AEPi fraternity for a special vigil in memory of those who were massacred in Pittsburgh.

Thanksgiving Dinner Gift Baskets We are planning on approximately 100 Families ALL baskets will contain the following - please help us fill them! Frozen Turkey, Instant potatoes (Large), Stuffing Mix (2), Gravy (1), YAMS (24 ounces & up), Chicken broth (1), Jell-O (2), Canned Fruit (2), Cranberry sauce (1), Green beans (2), Corn (2), and Cream of Mushroom soup (1) Baking needs: Pumpkin Pie Mix, Evaporated Milk, & Pie Crust mix. In addition, Families will receive a Handmade Card from the Students. Bring your donated items directly to the PANTRY before Mass Dorothy Raha will be at the New Pantry Location to accept your Gifts BASKETS WILL BE GIVEN OUT NOVEMBER 14 & 15 DONATED FRESH FROZEN TURKEYS are appreciated 12-14 Pounds If you can donate, please call Dorothy at her Office 616-842-2602 By Friday, November 9th. ONE HEART ONE HAND HELPING THE POOR Land of Peace is a nonprofit organization representing Jerusalem Christian Families scheduled to visit the church (Oct 20-21, 2018) regarding selling religious articles from the Holy Land. Land of Peace is a nonprofit organization with the mission of helping and supporting Christian families in the Holy Land through the Patriarch of Jerusalem. When anyone purchases handmade arts they help our mission and help the Christians in the Holy Land. In 1920 the Christian population in the Holy Land was 80%; today it is less than 2%. With the parish support and the parishioner’s generosity we are able to help our brothers and sisters to live in Jesus’ land of birth.
