Wedgwood Christian Services’ Manasseh Project, with the support of the Dominican Sisters and Servants of Jesus, is holding the 3rd Annual Blue Candle Prayer Walk Against Human Trafficking to raise awareness about local human trafficking and bring our community together in expressing solidarity with victims.. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your congregation to participate in this eye-opening event. This year we are partnering with an ArtPrize Artist, Stephanie Sandberg, and the walk will include a portion of her performance piece – Stories in Blue.
• Saturday 9/24/16 - LaGrave Ave CRC parking lot at 107 LaGrave Ave. SE GR • 7pm Welcome & Prayer – 7:10 pm 1 mile walk will commence • 7:50 pm - End around the 300 Monroe Ave NW area, joining with Stephanie Sandberg’s “Stories in Blue” performers Human Trafficking. There are 60+ organizations involved with the Kent County Human Trafficking Task Force to bring awareness of and advocacy for victims of human trafficking right here in our area.
