In the busyness of my new role as principal of St. Mary’s School, I must constantly remind myself about the power of gratitude. Taking a moment to recognize all we have to be grateful for opens my eyes to how blessed we truly are and washes over the hurried pace with peace and contentment…
This week, I am feeling grateful for our Hot Lunch Program managed by Director of Food Service Tanya Kval. It is such a blessing to have nutritious meal choices lovingly served by Mrs. Kval, Mrs. McKenna, and the dedicated parent volunteers who arrive each day to help. Parents who choose our Hot Lunch Program for their children can be assured that students will have enough choices to fill up with brain fueling, delicious calories at lunch thanks to the careful planning of each month’s menu. And Mrs. Kval works hard, shopping locally whenever possible, to manage expenses so school lunch remains affordable for all. She is also a great team player, creatively connecting food choices with special days around the school. This is just one more way we are taking care of our students’ minds, bodies and souls at St. Mary’s School! While I am on the subject of gratitude, I hope you have received your personal invitation to our first ever Gratitude Gala on March 21st. I can’t wait to share the evening with our honorees, our past and present faith leaders, faculty and staff, and all of you. St. Mary’s School is a special place where we go Above and Beyond in all we do, and this evening of gratitude will prove it to you. Tickets are now on sale through the parish website at www.stmarysl.org. Comments are closed.
