July 31st marks the 3rd anniversary since the blessing and dedication ceremony of the security wall surrounding the grounds of St. Martin de Porres Orphanage Centre in Sumbawanga, Tanzania. This event was the culmination of our mission team's visit in 2013.
The collaboration between St. Martin's Kids of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Spring Lake, Michigan, Sr. Helena of the Catholic Diocese of Sumbawanga, and Mike Caraway of Grace Community Development & Education brought to fruition the dream of Sr. Aggripina to provide a safe and secure environment for the children living there.
We praise God for His wondrous deeds!!
Enjoy this short video and pictures of the day's festivities!!
Biogas Systems produce a nutrient rich fertilizer for crops and trees. This biogas slurry is a safe, organic liquid fertilizer that can boost crop yield by 25%. Since this fertilizer contains no chemicals the result is a negative environmental effect on the land and persons consuming the harvest.
Every parent is familiar with the 5-6pm dinner hour. The kids are hungry, out of sorts from the day and they need to eat NOW!
So imagine having to heat the stove with wood. Do you have enough? Has the stove reached the right temperature?
Biogas fuel saves time, no need to gather firewood, wait for the wood to heat, lights instantly, and less time required for cooking to feed hungry kids?
