Katandala Women's & Children's Hospital!

Congratulations to Sr. Helena on the opening of the Katandala Women's & Children's Hospital!
The opening ceremonies took place on Jan. 13, 2016 and began with Mass celebrated by Bishop Damien

Children from St. Martin's now have access to health care when needed since this hospital will be open 24/7.  In addition, mothers will now be able to welcome their babies in an environment that promotes safe delivery and surgical practices. 

In the long term, less children will be left motherless and require the services that St. Martin de Porres Orphanage Center offer.
 
Later this year, medical supplies from Project C.U.R.E. will arrive to increase the capacity and capability of the hospital to serve the population at large.
